About Us
Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA)Our organization has been established to be carried out telecommunications sector regulatory and supervisory functions by an independent administrative authority with the name of Telecommunication Authority by 27/01/2000 dated, 4502 numbered Law. The name of the organization changed with the 5809 numbered Electronic Communication Law as Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA) (https://www.btk.gov.tr/)Our institution have public entity and financial-administrative self-determination and consists of Information and Communication Board and Chairmanship Organization. Our institution service unit consists of main service units organized as legal consultancy, departments and directorates, consultancy and assisted service units and provincial organization.
Quality Policy
Continious improvement and implementing of test services appropriate to TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 for establishment of environment of confidence in the eyes of especially consumers, manufacturers, importers, regulatory authorities, EU and international institutions in telecommunications sector are our basic objectives.To achieve these obectives:• Having international validity for all tests and evaluations.• Providing of privacy for test results, reports and informations.• Execution of laboratory activities imparitally and independently,• Conduction of tests by continuously trained laboratory staff regard to identified methods, standards, customer demands and legal limitations.• Collaboration with scientific intitutions and following technological development in sectorContinuous improvement of our laboratory quality system with attendance of laboratory staff is our quality policy.
Goals
Laboratory goals are identified annually and controlled regularly every month.Our goals are identified in related subjects:• Increasing test diversity,• Providing of continuous training of staff• Performing tests in identified amounts• Continuously attendance for Interlaboratory Comparison TestsAlso establishment of a Control Laboratory inside our laboratory is aimed, related to this studies, about:• Completion of needed trainings.• Identification and purchasing of additional reference devices for interim control of testing devices.• Identification and documentation of applied control methods continues.
Our Accreditation Certificate
Besides performing tests in a planned, organized and productive working place, accreditation activities had been given weight for providing reliability and international validity of test results and accreditation studies had been started with the starting of laboratory activities in 2007.In this context, needed trainings had been done, a Laboratory Management System appropriate to TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard had established and Laboratory Quality Handbook and other required documents that explain system’s basic structure and procedures had been prepared.First accreditation audit had done between 09-11 Feb. 2009 by the staff of TURKAK and after this succesfully resulted audit Market Surveillance Laboratory Directorate was accredited in 28.04.2009 with the docement number AB-0259-T.Every year laboratory units and staff were examined during the audit. Compliance of test and experiment activities that EMC (Electromagnetic compatibility), RF (radio frequency), LVD (Low voltage directive and safety) and SAR (Specific absorption rate) to the relevant standards was audited on site. Additionally, applied methods, test records, calibration status of the equipment used in tests and similar issues are controlled.
